Between the 18th - 21st October we have the annual oyster festival here in Falmouth . See for the full details. It is certainly a must for all those lovers of food ,drink and all things nautical. Along with this on the 19th - 20th October is also the towns 30th annual beer festival which again will be held at Princess Pavilions organized by CAMRA , with many local and west country breweries present and quite a few from further beyond ! This is another popular and well attended event .
On a more forward note ,but similar theme is the Funchal 500 Tall Ships Regatta which is to be held next year between 10th - 13th September here in the Port of Falmouth , . This will be a major maritime event and one not to be missed. This is the true essence of Falmouth and its wonderful history so closely linked to that of sail and sea.
As for us here at the Hawthorne Dene we now look forward to the autumn and winter season and all it brings. The log fires will soon be lit and the winter menu's brought in to reflect the time and change of season. This is a lovely cosy time and very popular with our many regulars.
